GrasSports take out project of the year in the philippines

This May, members from both our Grassports branches in Victoria and Queensland attended the prestigious annual 2024 Sport Group Asia Pacific Project Partner Awards in Cebu, Philippines.

With tough competition from over 70 entrants, Grassports Australia were awarded international Project of the Year for their construction of the state-of-the-art sporting field atop of a multi-level carpark at St Kevin’s College in Toorak.

This impressive project featured the installation of over 4,000 square meters of high-quality Australian-made synthetic grass, designed to meet the demands of the school’s active student body.

I am proud of my whole team and very proud to be acknowledged by our peers in the industry. This was a particularly difficult project, where the photos do not do it justice. This project was three-dimensional with a number of steps and terraces on top of a 40mm insitu shock pad atop of the newly constructed car park. This was a hard fought job and like all of our projects, this wouldn’t happen without our brilliant team, our trusted suppliers or our loyal clients.

In addition to the International Project of the Year award, Grassports Australia also received recognition for their exceptional work on several other projects. At St Joseph’s College in Geelong, Grassports installed a year 7 synthetic grass multisport court featuring a custom-made school crest and a basketball court designed to reflect the Aboriginal flag, which complements the school’s colors and was inspired by student input.

Meanwhile, the Grassports Queensland team took home awards for two impressive domestic tennis court projects, showcasing their expertise and dedication to delivering high-quality results.

We are always proud of our Grassports teams, though when we receive recognition at an international level, it means that much more to us.
